- Website statistics: 'Webalizer' has been shut down in February 2013. 'Logaholic' became 2016 too unreliable.
- Thus 'Google-Analytics' remains as the only counter.
- 'Google-Analytics' showed 21'592 pageviews during September 2016. The visitors came from 235 countries!
- ('Google-Analytics': August = 18'673 pageviews / July = 17'829 pageviews)
- Record day since 12/17/1998 = the birthday of our website: on 11/5/2007 = 13'407 visitors and 787'456 hits ('Webalizer')

- Wow! Our Uzbekistan website is now online! And our information site "what's happening?" that is updated sporadically, doesn't show
- (yet) its expected number of visitors; however we'll continue with it for the time being.
- Hence it might probably be known that not everything runs anymore so smoothly since we left Lake Teletskoe. The weldings of our
- front windscreen pillars have been already mentioned in our "News – July/August 2016". Thus we set off on the "Chuysky-Trakt" for
- Mongolia. Well, and then the long repair and waiting time started, which we described in the new "what's happening?" from the 1st to
- 18th September, and which blocked us in Gorno Altaysk.
- But as "misfortunes" never come singly, we had to learn that in Mongolia – supposedly due to the Mongol-Rally that runs in August and
- September – older tourist cars are allowed only to enter the country by paying a guarantee deposit; a "Carnet de Passages" isn't
- accepted. Until today we couldn't clarify whether this measure has been implemented only temporarily. In any case we lost more time
- due to the investigation – exactly that much until winter starts in eastern Russia. This showed us rapidly in a harsh way that our vehicle
- isn't anymore very suitable for winter apart that being in our age freezing temperatures, wind, blowing snow and constant rainfalls
- don't feel really comfortable with our "outdoor-lifestyle". We heard also from fellow travelers driving in Mongolia ahead of us (trucks
- and motorbikes are not subject to a bond) that Mongolia's most (unpaved) roads have very strong and deep washboard top what
- wouldn't suit currently our frail LandCruiser and could sound the death knell for it.
- Another negative message arrived from Vladivostok, which said that container shipping out from this port, no matter where to,
- would be very expensive. While the car ferry to South Korea seems to be affordable, this country isn't very inviting either during winter
- time – at least not for us. Neither is winter a motivation to cross China, what during another season could have been an idea to be
- checked (even if the constant compulsory guide deterred us to visit this otherwise beautiful and very interesting country).

- Knowing all these facts, we decided to drop our 187th country – Mongolia – and instead of driving eastwards to Vladivostok to turn
- westwards towards Europe and Middle East. What this exactly means and whereto this will finally be, is an open question, which we
- cannot yet answer. However it will be shown in due course at "what's happening?". In any case we have to leave Russia definitively on
- November 11th, 2016.
